NSDC-The National Skill Development Corporation is an Indian not-for-profit company set up to address the need for providing skilled manpower across various industry sectors. National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a not-for-profit public limited company incorporated on July 31, 2008 under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (corresponding to section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013). NSDC was set up by Ministry of Finance as Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Government of India through Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) holds 49% of the share capital of NSDC, while the private sector has the balance 51% of the share capital. NSDC aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions. Further, the organization provides funding to build scalable and profitable vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support system which focuses on quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organizations that provide skill training. It also develops appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives. The differentiated focus on 21 sectors under NSDC’s purview and its understanding of their viability will make every sector attractive to private investment

Automotive Service

1. Sales Representative

Role Description : Generate and handle potential customer leads, present value proposition of the auto components for OEM vehicles and manage sales in the retail market along with developing new avenues for business growth.

Time Duration : 120 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : Graduate Degree/Diploma in any discipline

Brif Job Description : A Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing the sales, growth and account penetration within an assigned market segment by effectively selling the auto components / aggregates either in the retail market, to OEM dealers/ distributors or directly to the key customers/ accounts. The person is also responsible for developing new markets for the auto component products and securing new business accounts/customers.

2. Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)

Role Description : Assist in sales support and expansion through customer satisfaction.

Time Duration : 130 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : Graduate Degree/Diploma in any discipline

Brif Job Description : A Customer Relationship Manager is responsible for assisting in sales support and expansion through customer satisfaction, activities such as enhancing customer experience at the dealership showroom, recording their effectiveness and supervising the overall implementation are also part of the job role.

3. Telecaller

Role Description : Assist and support sales function through making cold calls to the customers supporting sales and service through telemarketing activities.

Time Duration : 120 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : 10+2

Brif Job Description : A Telecaller is responsible for making cold calls to the customer and supporting sales to generate sales leads (telemarketing activities) and also support follow-up calls to support both sales and service activities.

4. Automotive Service Technician (Two and Three Wheelers)

Role Discription : Carry out repair and routine servicing and maintenance (including electrical and mechanical aggregates) of vehicles (two and three wheelers)

Time Duration : 490 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : 10th Standard

Brif Job Discription : An Auto Service Technician(two and three wheelers)is responsible for the repairing and routine servicing & maintenance(including electrical and mechanical aggregates) of two/ three wheeler vehicles.

5. Showroom Hostess

Role Discription : Responsible for handling the front office work and attending to customer quires. The individual also generates sales enquires and supports service functions then follow up calls for after sales service.

Time Duration : 490 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : 12th Standard pass, preferably Graduate degree or diploma in any discipline.

Brif Job Discription: A Showroom Hostess/ Host and customer relationship executive is responsible for handling the front office work, attending to customers and coordinating response to their quires. The individual also generates sales enquires through telemarketing and supports service function through follow-up calls for after sales service.

6. Repair - Welder

Role Discription : Maintain and operate all welding related work.

Time Duration : 400 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : 8th Standard

Brif Job Discription: A Welder is responsible for maintaining and operating all welding related works. The individual must be able to use hand welding techniques or welding equipment and tools to join various metal components and also carry out repair work on machinery and equipment.

7. Sales Executive-Dealership

Role Description : Support the overall sales process to generate sales leads (telemarketing activities) and pass on the leads to superiors to ensure better sales performance and also support overall sales and post sales service activities.

Time Duration : 300 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : Preferable 12th Standard passed

1. Junior Sales Associate (Basic)

Role Description : Engaging with the customers, understanding the needs of the customer, explaining the offerings of the store and assisting them in choosing jewellery according to their requirement.

Brif Job Description : ‘Retail Sales Officer’,‘Sales Advisor’, or ‘Customer Sales Executive’, the Jewellery Retail SalesAssociate is the person in-charge of a sales counter in the retail store.

2. Merchandiser

Role Description : Developing design concepts at different price points by assessing market trends for practical and fashionable designs.

Time Duration : 110 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : Graduation

Brif Job Description : The individual at work assesses market trends by: researching the market, taking cues from exhibitions and interacting with customers and designer. The individual develops design concepts, assesses the value of inputs to price jewellery for different budgets, and presents design brief to senior management or client for finalisation.

1. Animator

Role Description : Producing a sequence of 2D/3D images using animation software

Minimum Eligibility : 10th & Above

1. Field Technician - Computing and Peripherals

Role Discription : Installing  the  system  and  configuring  the  peripherals,  and attending  to  field  calls  from  customer  and  complaints  for system trouble shooting and repairs.

Minimum Eligibility :12th Standard Passed to  ITI or Diploma

Brif Job Discription : The  individual  at  work  is  responsible  for  attending  to customer     complaints,     installing     newly     purchased     products, troubleshooting  system  problems  and,  configuring  peripherals  such  as printers, scanners and network devices.

1. Assistant Carpenter – Wooden Furniture

Role Description : Carpentry for furniture making is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is cutting, shaping and installation of different components together to make the final product.

Time Duration : 45 hrs

Minimum Eligibility : 5th  Pass

Brif Job Description : Assistant carpenter is required to assist the Carpenter in making different parts of the furniture and also assist in assembling different parts of the furniture.

2. Assistant Fitter - Modular Furniture

Role Description : The visual quality and finishing of the modular furniture depends on the accurate and error free assembling of parts. Fitting process involves assembling of different independent parts to make the final product as per the client requirement.

Minimum Eligibility : 5th  Pass

Brif Job Description : Assistant Fitter is required to assist the fitter in assembling different parts of modular furniture at the client site to make the final products.

3. Carpenter – Wooden Furniture

Role Description : Carpentry for furniture making is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping and installation of different components together to make the final product.
